Graphic & Web Designer - North Shore, Auckland

Our current Graphic Designer has booked her OE tickets so we’re looking for a new team member to join our Design Office!


We require a Graphic & Web Designer to provide Print and Digital Media support for our group of companies.


The primary role will involve a key requirement to produce and maintain printed graphic material / brochures / packaging / sales support / trade-show design and supplementary brand awareness media. The designer will have the opportunity to both follow, and develop/evolve our brand guidelines.


The second key role is to maintain and expand the group websites, including concept, prototyping and development of new websites and web applications for public and/or in-house use. Experience with WordPress as a CMS is a bonus. PHP/HTML and cross browser CSS knowledge are important. We are looking for someone who is competent with developing dynamic web-pages and can demonstrate a flair for modern and engaging web design.


The group websites also require support through the creation of instructional videos / product demonstration and promotional videos using photography / video / adobe flash etc.


Understanding and experience of Digital and Offset printing processes. We operate an inhouse low volume digital production print machine. Use and management of this machine, as well as trimming and finishing etc will be a key part of the role. We do a lot of short run concept and pre-production material for presentations / promotions so attention to detail and use of ‘physical’ design tools is important to our process.


We have a small and flexible team, and you will be directly involved in the marketing and design decision making processes. You will need to work reliably and independently, listen and communicate effectively.

 We often receive a very high number of applications, so in order to manage expectations and help us give suitable candidates our full attention please read the following points. If you do not meet all of our criteria but feel you have something outstanding to present, please get in touch with us – these points might seem strict but we’re really quite friendly!


You must have graphic design knowledge and experience. If you are not qualified and/or experienced in this field please do not apply. An interest or part-time in Graphic or Web design is not appropriate for this position, it needs to be your core expertise.


It is essential you present a portfolio, either by pdf or website. We are looking for a clear demonstration of aesthetic and technical ability.


We are looking for a specific ability with web design. Creation of a personal portfolio website is welcomed but for the purposes of this role it does not alone constitute ‘web design’ as a skill. If you can’t code but you are an experienced user of PSD/AI to HTML services we’re keen to hear from you…(with examples please).


This position is for our offices at 15 Canaveral Drive, Rosedale 0632, Auckland, New Zealand.  Please bear this in mind when applying – the position is fulltime in-house. Our office hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.


The ideal commencement for the position is between 15th May and 15th June.

The position is ideally suited to an applicant with 2-5 years industry experience.


The salary will be based on experience of the candidate. A salary guide for this position is $45-$60k.
